Most Sabarimala travel happens overnight. That places real demands on a chauffeur — ghat sections at Erumeli and Nilackal, heavy seasonal traffic, and a group that needs to reach in time for a specific darshan slot. We assign these trips only to drivers who have run the route repeatedly.

Season note
During Mandala–Makaravilakku (mid-November to mid-January) private vehicles are usually held at Nilackal, with chain services running the final stretch to Pampa. Restrictions change day to day; your chauffeur is briefed on the current arrangement before departure.

Roughly 180 km, which is a four-and-a-half to five-hour drive depending on the route and the season. During Mandala–Makaravilakku the final stretch beyond Nilackal is regulated and can add significantly to that time, so we plan departures accordingly.
Yes. Our waiting-and-return option keeps the vehicle and chauffeur at the designated parking area while your group treks up and completes darshan. Waiting hours are agreed in advance and stated in the quotation.
During peak season private vehicles are typically stopped at Nilackal, from where chain services operate to Pampa. Outside peak restrictions we drop as close as the authorities permit on the day. Your chauffeur will know the current arrangement.
Tell us at booking and we will assign a vehicle with a lower step height — a sedan or a Force Urbania rather than a standard tempo traveller — and a chauffeur used to assisting elderly travellers.
Yes, and many groups do. Common circuits add Erumeli, Guruvayur, Chottanikkara, Ettumanoor, Vaikom or Aranmula. Send us the temples you want to cover and we will build a sequence that works with darshan timings.
As early as you can. Vehicles for mid-November to mid-January are allocated weeks in advance, and tempo travellers and Urbania coaches go first. Four to six weeks ahead is sensible; two weeks is often too late.
